Workshops

Get Creative!
No artistic skills required
Phones down, heads up and hands busy

Over the past couple of years I have taken part in several community workshops as part of Tamworth Castles ongoing Handcrafted Heritage project. I've thoroughly enjoyed these sessions and have met lovely people who have created beautiful things.

The joy of creating is something everyone should have accessibility to and opportunities to experience crafts that require specialised equipment can be more difficult to come by.

I will be listing available workshops on this page or if you have a project or collaboration you would like to discuss please drop me a message or email.

Useful Information

What to wear

There is no dress code, however I would suggest old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. If we are working with clay there's a good chance your hands will end up messy so a white shirt with long dangly sleeves wouldn't be a sensible option. Think gardening or decorating clothes

Equipment

All the tools and equipment you need will be provided. If any are broken, damaged or mislaid they will need to be paid for.

Health & Safety

There will be sharp tools available to use during the adult pottery sessions, so the attendees will need to exercise the necessary care when using them. Poking fellow attendees is strictly forbidden!

How many people can attend a workshop?

A minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 attendees can come to an EHC workshop which can be held remotely or at my home depending on available space. Externally organised workshops will be held at various venues.

Timescales

Pottery is not a quick process, a minimum of a months notice is required to organise a specific event.
Workshops will take a couple of hours and once work is made it will need to dry out thoroughly and be fired, possibly glazed and refired. So items will be available for collection a minimum of two weeks after the class is taken.
